How To Help Earth On Earth Day 2021!
Earth Day has become a global event recognized by billions of people to create awareness for our planet. Our earth is beautiful and we as humans have self-sabotaged it in many ways by not showing the real respect it deserves.
The first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970 when a United States senator from Wisconsin organized a national demonstration to raise awareness about environmental issues. Rallies took place across the country and, by the end of the year, the U.S. government had created the Environmental Protection Agency. By 1990, Earth Day was an event celebrated by more than 140 countries around the globe.
How to help on this 2021 Earth Day is one of the biggest questions we all have. Sometimes we want to help by doing something but we don’t know how to start. Here we will give you some ideas of what we can do.
We don’t necessarily need to do big gestures to take care of our planet. We can start by doing simple things that can make a difference. One of the things we do here in MAD Monkey Media is that when we are going to screen print something as a sample we use recycled garments instead of throwing them away.
A lot of times we have a lot of clothing that we don’t want or that is damaged. Instead of throwing it away, you can use it even as a cleaning tool. For example, instead of using paper tissues or napkins to clean anything in your house or car, you can use that garment and it will save a lot of paper. This is something very simple we can do that can make a huge difference to our world.
One other thing we do is in our office we always use natural light and turn off lights when not in use. This is a small yet big change we can do not only on Earth Day but every day. Try conserving electrical energy by using only what you need. (share what they can do in their office space, etc.
Inform about Earth Day your customers
Maybe your business won’t be able to do something for this special day, but you can still inform your customers why it’s important to take part. You can either choose to host an event informing your guests why Earth Day is important or publish content explaining the significance of Earth Day.
Give a gift to your customers who purchase an eco-friendly item, or you can also give a gift to every customer on Earth Day. The gift can be an eco-friendly item or maybe seeds. Seeds are very symbolic in a way of giving back to our planet.
Teaching others about what they can do for Earth Day can help motivate someone to take action. Small changes are what our world needs to see a big change in the long run.
Share it on social media to let others know what your employees are doing. Social media is huge for marketing to new and existing customers and gives tips on what your customers can do to make a difference in their communities.
