Logo design that a print shop will accept
Three original concepts, drawn by hand. You pick one in round one. You leave owning the vector masters, in every format a printer, an embroiderer, a sign maker and a web developer will ask you for.
How the mark gets drawn
Not generated. Not picked from a template library. Drawn, then constructed as geometry.
A short discovery questionnaire
What you sell, who to, who you are up against, and every surface the mark has to live on. Ten minutes, and it changes everything that follows.
Three hand drawn concepts
Three genuinely different directions, drawn by hand. Not three colorways of one idea, which is the standard trick for looking like three options.
You choose one, in round one
One decision, made early. This is the rule that stops a logo project running for two months.
Two revision rounds
Refinement on the chosen direction: weight, proportion, spacing, the letterforms. Not a restart.
Built as true vector on a grid
Redrawn as clean geometry so it is sharp at 12 points and at 12 feet, and so a sign shop can cut it.
Production tested
Checked small, checked reversed, checked in one color, and checked against how it will actually be produced.
Exactly what you receive for $495
In the delivery
- Discovery questionnaire and a written direction brief
- Three original hand drawn concepts
- Two revision rounds on the concept you choose
- Primary logo, built as true vector
- One alternate lockup, horizontal or stacked
- Black, white and reversed versions
- SVG, EPS and PDF vector masters
- PNG with transparency, plus JPG
- Full ownership of the master files, no license tier
What this tier deliberately leaves out
- A live discovery session, the questionnaire replaces it
- The full variation set, five lockups instead of two
- Logo mark schematics, the construction drawings
- Color theory and a color usage guide with Pantone values
- Typography selection and type rules
- A file usage guide for your vendors
- A printed brand identity book
- A USB drive
If you need those, you are looking at getBranded, which starts at $1,500. We would rather tell you that now than sell you a logo twice.
Every format, and who asks for it
The reason a cheap logo costs money later is that it arrives in one format, and no one tells you which one you were going to need.
| Format | Who will ask you for it | What happens without it |
|---|---|---|
| SVG | Web developers, app builders, anyone putting it on a screen | Your logo ships as a heavy blurry image and slows the page down |
| EPS | Commercial printers, sign shops, vinyl cutters, screen printers | The job stops. You pay a redraw fee, typically $75 to $250 |
| Anyone. The universal safe handoff | You end up emailing a screenshot and hoping | |
| PNG, transparent | Social profiles, slide decks, documents, email signatures | A white box appears around your logo on every colored background |
| One color version | Embroiderers, laser engravers, foil, etching, stamps | Gradients cannot be stitched or engraved. The mark gets redrawn by a stranger |
| Reversed version | Dark shirts, night signage, dark mode websites, vehicle panels | Your logo disappears. This is the single most common one people miss |
Is a logo enough for you right now?
An honest test. Read both columns and pick the one that sounds like your next twelve months.
Yes, a mark is enough
- You are brand new and you need something real on a card and a profile
- One or two people make all your marketing material
- You are not about to order uniforms, a vehicle wrap or permanent signage
- You want to own a proper vector now and build the system later
No, you need the system
- Staff, contractors or franchisees will be producing material without you
- You are putting the name on a building, a truck or a uniform
- You sell a physical product that needs packaging and a shelf presence
- You are rebranding and have existing equity you cannot afford to lose
- More than one vendor will print your color, and it has to match
What you get that a marketplace cannot give you
Not an anonymous bidder
Ryan Johnson leads design here, and his background is Girvin, the Seattle strategic branding consultancy. You are buying one person’s judgement, not a lottery.
We print what we draw
Every mark is checked against the materials we actually run. A marketplace seller has never seen your logo come off a heat press.
The masters are yours
No commercial use upsell, no source file tier, no buyout. Included at $495 and at every price above it.
