The thicker 16pt base gives the card real presence, and the low-sheen surface feels modern and refined rather than flashy. Minimalist layouts and type-driven designs especially love this finish.
Design tip: matte rewards typography. Generous white space, a restrained palette, and one strong accent color look expensive on this surface. Dark, moody designs also print beautifully, because matte deepens tones instead of bouncing light off them.
