What We’ve Done
Across madmonkey.media we have implemented:
- Keyboard navigation on all interactive components (menus, drawers, modals, search, product filters)
- Skip-to-main-content link as the first focusable element on every page
- Minimum 4.5:1 color contrast on body text (WCAG SC 1.4.3 AA)
- Visible focus indicators (3px outline) on all focusable elements (SC 2.4.7)
- ARIA labels on icon-only buttons and form controls
- Alt text on all decorative and content images
- Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy and landmarks
- Reduced-motion support via prefers-reduced-motion (SC 2.3.3)
- Form labels programmatically associated with their inputs
- Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
Ongoing Work
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We audit our site regularly with automated tools (axe-core, Lighthouse) and continue to improve based on real-world feedback.
Known Limitations
Some third-party widgets embedded on this site (review widgets, chat widgets, payment processors) may not be fully accessible. We’re working with vendors to address these.
