Every acrylic sign is custom. That is exactly why they look expensive.
Acrylic signs are not an off-the-shelf, fixed-price product because no two are the same size. A reception logo, a 48 by 32 inch lobby panel, a desk sign, and a donor wall each need a different sheet size, thickness, edge finish, and mounting method. Rather than force your sign into a preset SKU, we cut cast acrylic to your exact dimensions and print it the way that makes it look its best. You tell us the size and the look; we send a firm quote, usually within one business day.
The single biggest quality difference in acrylic signage is which side we print. We specialize in second-surface (reverse) printing: your artwork goes on the back of a clear panel so you view it through the acrylic, giving a deep, glass-like finish with the ink permanently protected. Combined with flame-polished edges and clean standoff mounting, that is what separates a premium acrylic sign from a flat printed board. Start a quote below and we will guide every one of these choices with you.
The one choice that decides whether your sign looks premium or ordinary.
We print your art mirrored on the BACK of a clear acrylic panel, so you read it through the front. The clear acrylic becomes a built-in shield over the ink: glossy, glass-like depth, and print that never scratches, fades, or wipes off because nothing ever touches the ink face. Optional white ink behind the art makes colors fully opaque. This is the look for lobby logos, reception signs, and recognition walls.
Art prints on the front face of the panel. It costs less and is perfectly good for single-color text, temporary signs, and back-painted or frosted looks. The trade-off: the ink sits on the surface, so it is more exposed to scratches and cleaning over time, and it lacks the depth of a reverse-printed panel. We will tell you honestly when first-surface is the smarter spend.
Mix and match. Not sure? Request a quote and we will recommend the combination.

Second-surface printing, thickness, mounting, sizes, files, and turnaround.
Second-surface means we print your artwork on the BACK of a clear acrylic panel, mirrored, so you read it correctly through the front. The clear acrylic then sits on top of the ink like a built-in glass shield. The result is a glossy, glass-like depth with the print protected from scratches, cleaning, and UV fade because nothing ever touches the ink face. It is the premium look for lobby logos, reception signs, and donor walls. First-surface (printing on the front) is fine for lower-cost or single-color jobs, but second-surface is what makes an acrylic sign look expensive.
We stock cast acrylic in 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 3/8 inch, and 1/2 inch. For most wall and lobby signs, 1/4 inch cast acrylic is the sweet spot: rigid, premium-feeling, and ideal for standoff mounting. Go to 3/8 or 1/2 inch for very large panels, edge-lit looks, or when you want a heavier, more dimensional presence. Thin 1/8 inch is good for lightweight desk signs, tags, and inserts. We cut cast (not extruded) acrylic because it polishes to a cleaner edge and machines without stress cracks.
Yes. Every acrylic sign is cut to your exact width and height. There is no fixed catalog size, which is why acrylic is quote-based. We drill standoff mounting holes to match the barrel hardware you choose (typically one hole in each corner, inset from the edge), and we can include brushed silver or black standoffs with your order. We also do cleat-mount, VESA, and freestanding base options. Tell us the wall type and we will spec the right hardware.
Flame-polished and diamond-polished edges give a clear, glass-like, water-clear edge that is standard on premium acrylic signs. A flat/matte machined edge is a lower-cost option that reads more industrial. Polished edges are what most lobby and reception signs use because the light catches the edge and makes the panel glow. Let us know and we will polish to match the look you want.
Common sizes run from small 12 by 8 inch desk signs up to 48 by 32 inch and larger lobby panels. Larger-than-bed graphics are produced as seamless multi-panel assemblies aligned for installation. Bigger panels usually move to 3/8 or 1/2 inch thickness so they stay flat. Send us your target dimensions and we will confirm the best thickness and mounting for that size.
Send print-ready vector art (PDF, AI, or EPS) or a high-resolution raster at 150 DPI or better at final size. Include your logo colors (Pantone or CMYK) and note if you want a white ink layer behind the art for full opacity on the reverse. Standard turnaround is 5 to 7 business days after proof approval; rush is often possible. You do not need a finished file to request a quote -- just tell us the size, quantity, and look, and we will guide the artwork.
Send us your size and logo. We will reverse-print it on cast acrylic and have it mounted-ready in days.
