Artwork and design tips
Keep the header compact so there is plenty of room for the letter itself, and use a simple layout that prints cleanly when you add text in your office printer. Send a high-resolution PDF at the finished size, extend background colors 0.125 inch past the trim, and keep important text inside the safe area.
Frequently asked questions
Can I run the letterhead through my office printer?
60lb uncoated paper is a standard writing weight, so you can add text in most office laser and inkjet printers. Test a few sheets in your own printer first.
What file should I send?
A print-ready PDF at the finished size with 0.125 inch bleed on every side, CMYK color, images at 300 dpi, and text at least 0.125 inch inside the trim. Fonts embedded or outlined.
No design yet. Can you help?
Yes. Our in-house designers can build your layout or fix an existing file so it is ready to print. See design services.
Can I order a size, quantity or finish that is not listed?
Yes. Contact us with the details and we will quote it.
